Abstract

The metal-bonded diamond grinding wheel stands out for its exceptional grinding capabilities, including low grinding force, high efficiency, and minimal abrasive grain wear, making it a valuable tool in precision and ultra-precision grinding of hard and brittle materials. However, challenges such as poor self-sharpness, propensity to block, and instability due to wheel eccentricity pose significant hurdles. Furthermore, the grinding wheel's shape deteriorates significantly when processing hard and brittle materials like silicon carbide ceramics, affecting workpiece precision. Thus, achieving high-efficiency and high-quality finishing techniques for metal-bonded diamond grinding wheels has become a pivotal technology in hard and brittle material grinding.
