Abstract
The intensifying competition in higher education, coupled with the need to provide accessible and diverse educational resources, has spurred the adoption of e-learning, a modern approach to training and education. E-learning, driven by information and communications technology, aims to enhance individual and group learning processes and, in turn, improve organizational performance goals. Internationally recognized higher institutions are increasingly using e-learning as a strategic tool to gain a competitive edge over their peers. E-learning's strengths lie in its capacity to facilitate material delivery without time or distance constraints, foster the creation of learning communities, and offer a wide range of learning resources. Additionally, it promotes global mobility among students. However, the literature also points to certain drawbacks in the implementation of e-learning. This paper explores the multifaceted landscape of e-learning, investigating its potential benefits and challenges in higher education, with a focus on enhancing organizational performance and maintaining a competitive edge in the evolving academic landscape.
